Today's Hatena Featured Artist is Cheval (id:rectogab) from the Europe and Oceania region
Please tell us about yourself.
Hello, my name is Gabriel (a.k.a Cheval), and I'm a 31 year old animator living in northern France. I've been working on short-length animation movies for about ten years, and I also teach animation in two art schools.
What are your interests or hobbies, and how do you spend your free time?
I love cinema, Japanese culture, comics, manga, and video games.
In my free time, I like to play video games. I especially love platform games, and enjoy other types too.
I spend a lot of time drawing in my sketch book or animating with my Nintendo DSi (in my bed, in the bus, in the subway, on the train... everywhere, pretty much!).
I use Flipnote Studio to create 2D animation exercises for my students, and show them my Flipnotes as examples.
Please introduce some of your best Flipnotes
★ "Recto Verso" - This is a short Flipnote, it took me two hours to make it. It's about animated series project I wrote called “RectoVerso”.

What techniques or skills are you especially good at in your Flipnotes?
I think I'm especially good at animating. Animation is what I love doing most, so when I got Flipnote Studio on my Nintendo DSi, it was a new opportunity for me to animate anywhere, anytime.
What are some techniques or skills that you wish to improve?
I wish I could create more Flipnotes with sound or music, like MdM (id:MdMbunny). I love his Flipnotes, and I think that if I use some more sounds to make my Flipnotes, they will be more rhythmic.

As I said before, I really like MdM (id:MdMbunny)'s Flipnotes, for their sense of rhythm and animation.
