Please tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Mana. I'm 19 years old and from Saudi Arabia. Art has been my passion for my entire life. I've been on Hatena ever since I was 17 and I enjoy it very much. I'm not as active as I used to be, but Flipnote Hatena is still one of my favorite websites. I have learned and improved so much in drawing and animation since I started using Flipnote Hatena. Currently, I'm an ambitious art student. I hope I can make some well-known artworks one day! I'm not really good at speaking about myself, but I can express myself very well through drawings.
What are your interests or hobbies, and how do you spend your free time?
Drawing and creating things has been always my main interest. I love making things such as crafts, drawings or even food. I like to add my original touch to things, and it makes me happy when someone else appreciates it. Animation is more interesting than drawing because it's entertaining and it moves.
Please introduce some of your best Flipnotes, and tell us why you like them.
Here are some Flipnotes I worked hard on. I don't really 'like' them, because there is always a room for improvement.
★ Before this became a Flipnote it was just me and my baby brother having fun with Nintendo DSi Sound. I was trying to make him speak but he's only saying "ya" which means "no" in his own baby language!
★ The instrument that was used here is called a berimbau. Me and my friend practice Capoeira (a Brazilian martial art), and the berimbau is essential for us to learn. Me and my friend were discussing how the berimbau could sound like an annoying fly, so he suggested to make it into an animation. He played the music and I made the drawings.
★ Blind people hold a big space in my heart, since my grandmother was blind. I am interested in people who are blind, and how talented and wise they can be. Although they have lost an important organ they still can do many things that people with eyes cannot. The words in the Flipnote (said by the blind little girl) were originally told to me by my grandmother. My roommate, who is a talented guitarist, made the music.
★ This is based on a true story. I was angry at myself because I made an awesome Flipnote, but I didn't save it. I was so mad that when I woke up I made this to share my stupid mistake.

What techniques or skills are you especially good at in your Flipnotes?
I love making characters, but I don't consider myself that good at animating yet, because I'm still learning! I record music with my cellphone, and also like to create my own stories. Maybe I'll make a new story in the near feature.
What are some techniques or skills that you wish to improve, try, or learn to do in order make your Flipnotes better?
I used to wish I could draw more accurately with the Nintendo DSi touch screen. However, since I upgraded to a Nintendo DSi XL I realized it is so much better for making Flipnotes that my smaller Nintendo DSi. I recommend everyone to get one!

★ StickyNote (id:sticky-note) - This creator makes amazing original Flipnotes, and has a great style.
★ Epic (id:EpicGuitar) - This creator has awesome animation skills, and always amuses me. I hope I can animate like that one day.
★ Voltage (id:NarutoFanGirl) - I don't even need to comment. You all should check her profile!
★ chortlinMe (id:ChotlingArmadillo) - This talented creator has a unique style and makes very humorous Flipnotes. I really admire his work.
★ PickyEater (id:AnotherPickyEater) - She is an inspiration for me. I actually feel her sincere soul in her beautiful Flipnotes.
Is there something you would like to say to the Flipnote Hatena community?
I'm sorry for being inactive on Flipnote Hatena recently. I know I've been an inspiration for a lot of users, and I promise I'll be back. Remember to always draw and practice and never give up!
