Flipnote Hatena Weekly News: December 25, 2009

December 24th was the 1 year anniversary of the release of Flipnote Hatena in Japan, and today is Christmas so it's a double celebration for us.

To thank all of you for taking part in the Flipnote Hatena community, we have created 3 special gifts -- have you found them yet?

The 3 gifts are new themes for your Creator's Room. You'll need to enter a secret code via Command Search in order to find them.

Here are some hints for the commands to find the 3 gifts:

Gift #1

  • What is the name of a film starring Vin Diesel that was made in 2002? Hurry up! This one is going to disappear soon! (It's only here for the holidays)

Gift #2

Gift #3

  • 4 commands are revealed in this Flipnote (You can ignore the direction of the man walking into the rocket). Can you figure it out?

Today on Flipnote Central you can find a new Flipnote by Aardman Animations, Ltd. that was specially created to celebrate the release of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. You can view this new Flipnote on both the Nintendo DSi and the Flipnote Hatena website for all regions.

We will be posting the final The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Flipnote on New Years Day, January 1, 2010. The final Flipnote in this series will be one specially created by Eiji Aonuma, the producer of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

In this week's edition of the Flipnote Hatena news blog, we're going to show you some of our favorite Flipnotes based on last week's topic "Holiday Cards", and introduce our new topic for this week which is "Say Goodbye to 2009"

If you post Flipnotes about the weekly topic, we might feature yours here on the Flipnote Hatena Weekly News blog next week -- post your Flipnotes and join in the fun!
