Flipnote Hatena Weekly News: February 12, 2010

Happy Valentine's Day from all of us at Hatena. We were happy to receive a lot of virtual chocolate from all of you who posted Flipnotes about the weekly topic. Virtual chocolate doesn't make us gain weight unlike the real stuff!

To celebrate Valentine's Day we'll be giving some red stars to the creators of the Flipnotes that we feature in the blog this week. Well, actually we do that every week, so please post your Flipnotes about the weekly topic and you might have some rare, color stars added to your account too.

Recently, we've noticed that many users post Flipnotes to channel 8 that are not about the weekly topic. We understand that you want to have your Fliponotes viewed by as many people as possible, but ask that you please do not post Flipnotes to Channel #8 that are not about the weekly topic. Also, please try your best not to post or link your Flipnotes to channels that are unrelated to the content of your Flipnotes.

If you are a Flipnote Citizen, you can help us to manage the posts to channel #8 by unlinking Flipnotes that are not about the topic from the channel.

We hope that you enjoy some happiness or exchange chocolates with a special person in your life this Valentine's Day, and have a sweet February 14th.

In this week's edition of the Flipnote Hatena news blog, we're going to show you some of our favorite Flipnotes based on last week's topic "Chocolate", and introduce our new topic for this week which is "Transforming".

If you post Flipnotes about the weekly topic, we might feature yours here on the Flipnote Hatena Weekly News blog next week and give you some rare color stars -- post your Flipnotes and join in the fun!

Lastly, scroll to the bottom of this blog entry to see Weekly Frog Sightings where we feature original frog photos and illustrations from users like you. Post your original frog photos to Hatena Haiku (post to the keyword "Frog Sightings") and we might feature it here next week.
