Today we released a new feature of Flipnote Hatena called the Color Star Exchange. The Color Star Exchange allows you to exchange color stars that you have for new themes for your Creator's Room on Flipnote Hatena for Nintendo DSi.
You can access the Color Star Exchange from the top page of Flipnote Hatena for Nintendo DSi by tapping on "Get new themes!".
You can also use the Color Star Exchange from your iPhone or the Nintendo DSi Browser.
To use the Color Star Exchange, simply choose the theme you would like to use and exchange various amounts of color stars that you have to get the new theme.
There are various types and colors of Creator's Room themes that can be exchanged for as little as 10 color stars, or up to 50 color stars. Themes that cost 20 color stars have special features like backgrounds that change color, and themes that cost 50 color stars change depending on how many Flipnotes you post, or other types of criteria. Please check out the wide variety of themes that are now available and find one that's just right for you! We will continue to add new types of themes on a continual basis.
The Color Star Exchange can only be used with stars that you currently have. Please note that color stars that you receive from other users on your Flipnotes or comments cannot be used with the Color Star Exchange. You can get color stars for free by doing various activities on Flipnote Hatena, and you can also purchase boxes of color stars from the Hatena Color Star Shop with your credit card. Grand opening campaign now underway!
If you exchange color stars you have for two or more themes with the Color Star Exchange by Thursday, May 6, 2010, you'll receive a special limited edition theme. The limited edition theme will only be available during the campaign period and won't be available for purchase later on. Don't miss this chance to get some fun new themes for your Creator's Room!
