Welcome to the Hatena Featured Artist section of our blog, where we introduce Flipnote creators from around the world.

We post the Hatena Featured Artist every week on Wednesday, and hope to introduce a variety of different artists that will inspire and entertain you.

Be sure to check back here every Wednesday to see some of the most amazing artists on Flipnote Hatena. Maybe we'll even feature you someday!

Today's Hatena Featured Artist is Syncoteen (id:TransMetalsGP) from Japan.

Please introduce yourself!

Hi I'm Syncoteen (id:TransMetalsGP), from Japan.

How do you get ideas for your Flipnotes, and how long does it usually take you to create them?

The ideas just pop up into my head. When I look at my Flipnotes, even I don't know where the ideas came from! I usually work on one Flipnote little by little for days at a time, so I do not know exactly how long it takes me to finish one Flipnote.

What hobbies or interests do you have (besides making Flipnotes)?

I love video games, especially action, RPG and shooting games. I like mysterious animals and collect books about them. Also, I like strange machines and enjoy watching lots of parts move at one time. I have a very cute pet at home too.

Who are some of your favorite creators on Flipnote Hatena and why?

I like tasogare (id:ningen_gumi) and camel (id:rokusaku) because they make many Flipnotes without using words. I have tried to make Flipnotes like them, but I was not successful. I like users who make unique and original Flipnotes and post frequently.

Do you have any advice or tips for other Flipnote creators about how they can improve their skills?

I recommend people focus on making the best Flipnotes that they can, and not to worry about how good or bad your drawing or hand writing skills are. If you cannot get any ideas for your Flipnotes, try adding faces and hands to ordinary objects around you. If you do that, you can make your own character at the same time! If you then add some synchronized music, it's going to be an interesting Flipnote.

What kind of Flipnotes would you like to create in the future? Are there any new things you would like to try?

I would like to make a Flipnote that is just several pages long that makes people say "that's so awesome!" I'm looking for the way to make it, so if anybody knows how, please let me know!

What are some additional features that you would like to have added to Flipnote Studio and/or Flipnote Hatena?

Flipnote Studio is a great tool for making animation, but I sometimes use it as a memo book or calendar too. I try not to post these notes by accident. Please feel free to use my Flipnotes and make spin-offs from them as you like. Thank you.
