Hello from all of us at Hatena in Kyoto. This is Aaron with another edition of our weekly news blog.
We had a great time watching all of the "Frogs + ?" Flipnotes this past week, and we'd like to thank all of you who took part in the weekly topic competition. All of the excitement from watching your Flipnotes made us feel jumpy and we had a sudden hunger for flies.
We hope that you are enjoying the "Make Your Own Mario Flipnote" and "Flipnote Monsters" events currently on Flipnote Hatena. We plan to bring you some more special events over the next few weeks, so please check back here often.

"Flipnote Monsters" competition for users in the Europe and Oceania region
Renowned illustrator Andrew Rae has created his monster, Bad Egg, and we want you to post a monster to Flipnote Hatena that you think can best him in a straight-out fight. The four best entries will enter a knockout competition. All battles will be animated by us and the final winning monster will then take on Bad Egg himself just before Christmas in an extra-special animation showdown! Andrew will judge all the monsters himself.
Andrew Rae has worked for many worldwide clients in advertising, print, publishing and animation including the BBC, MTV and V Festival.
All entries for the competition must be submitted by November 21st, 2010.
The four best monster animations will be viewable on Flipnote Hatena for Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL and the Nintendo Channel in December.

Hello from France! 2nd meeting of the Hatena Ultimate French Team (HUFT)
Last month, several members of the HUFT (Hatena Ultimate French Team), had a meeting on Friday, October 29 at the Chibi Japan Expo, located in Montreuil-sous-bois, just near Paris, France.
One of the HUFT team members, Hiro (id:Koka), sent us this report about the meeting and some photos!
This exhibition is a smaller version of the Japan Expo held during the summer in France, but is equally lively. The atmosphere at the Chibi Japan Expo is constantly one of celebration, and extravagant cosplayers can be seen everywhere. The HUFT members who attended this event were: Akutsu, Mary, Aki-Enma, Hiro, Bayot, Catluigi and Golfmik. The members of HUFT spent the day having fun together, and we enjoyed showing our Flipnotes to each other looking around the the expo -- we even broke a table by accident!
The meeting seemed more like a family gathering than an formal meeting, and we had a great time together!
At the end of the day, we all promised to meet again at 2011's Japan Expo. Stay tuned for new adventures from HUFT!
