Hello everyone! This is Aaron at Hatena in Kyoto, Japan with this week's edition of the Flipnote Hatena Weekly News.
This week we are happy to present a selection of Flipnotes from around the world featuring rhythms and beats. This was a fun topic because everyone included sound in their entries. We hope you enjoy some of our favorites, and thanks to everyone who took part.
For our new topic this week, we would like you to create Flipnotes featuring an important part of the body. Scroll down to find out more.
Thanks for checking out the news blog, and we are looking forward to seeing your Flipnotes.
Flipnote of the Week
★ This week's Flipnote of the week is "Dancing Fridge Baby" by fred (id:blankenburg). This Flipnote uses a nice combination of hand drawn art and photos made with the Nintendo DSi Camera application, along with a catchy tune. We recommend that you keep babies away from appliances and don't try this at home!

This week's topic: "Eyes" (May 6, 2011 - May 12, 2011)
This week we would like you to create Flipnotes that somehow include eyes. Take photos of your own eyes and animate them, or create characters whose eyes are bigger than their stomachs. Animate giant eyeballs invading cities, cyclops monsters, or the mysterious third eye. Put on some googly-eye glasses, X-Ray Spex or a monocle and sit down and create some amazing Flipnotes. We are looking forward to seeing all of your ophthalmological creations!
Post the Flipnotes you create to the channel below from Flipnote Hatena on your Nintendo DSi.
Also, please do not use copyrighted music in your Flipnotes if you want them to be featured here.
