Please tell us about yourself.
Hello everyone! My name is Foomin. I started making Flipnotes on November 13, 2010, and I love Flipnote Studio. I actually bought a Nintendo DSi just to make Flipnotes. I usually make Flipnotes about the weekly topic, or game characters.
What are your interests or hobbies, and how do you spend your free time?
My main hobby these days is making Flipnotes. I love drawing, but I didn't put much effort into my drawings until I started making Flipnotes. I used to play video games whenever I had free time, but ever since being introduced to Flipnote Studio, I haven't played video games at all. These days all I do is create Flipnotes -- I think I'm addicted to it!
Introduce some of your best Flipnotes, and tell us why you like them.
★ "Story about a Little Fox"
This is the very first Flipnote I made. The story is based on an old Japanese tale that I used to love when I was little. This story is very famous in Japan, so I really wanted to create a Flipnote about it. This is my favorite Flipnote of all the ones I have made so far.
★ "Sweets Memory"
This story is based on a real experience that I had in my childhood. This Flipnote reminds me of the tangy flavor of wild strawberries I used to pick in my neighbor's garden.
★"An Everyday Happening"
This is a Flipnote that I drew quickly to practice movement. The style is a bit different from my usual Flipnotes. I love cats, and I especially like the black cat I drew here!

What techniques or skills are you especially good at in your Flipnotes? What are some techniques or skills that you wish to improve?
I think I'm good at drawing flowers and animals. I believe I can draw anything if I have an example to look at, and that is my special skill. Drawing objects that change their form, such as liquid and lightning is also something that I'm good at.
I wish to improve the way I use sounds in my Flipnotes. I've tried making a few Flipnotes with sound before, but they didn't turn out very well. I like watching music video Flipnotes and might try to make one someday.
Who are your favorite Flipnote creators?
Among all my favorite artists on Flipnote Hatena, Paironaw is very special to me. When I was still new on Flipnote Hatena, Paironaw added a surprising amount of stars to one of my Flipnotes, and added me to his favorites. Ever since then, he always gives me many stars on my Flipnotes, which really encourages me. Paironaw is not only just a generous user, but also a great artist at the same time. He creates mainly Flipnotes about games, which are my favorites, and the illustrations and the sounds are just amazing! Many Hatena users admire him, and I do too.
Is there something you would like to say to the Flipnote Hatena community?
Many people ask me how they can improve their drawing skills. The secret is, practice, practice, and practice! Like all the other featured artists have said, "practice makes perfect", and I also recommend you practice drawing whenever you can.Even though I'm older than many Flipnote Hatena users, I still have a lot to learn.
I hope that I can create more fun Flipnotes that everyone can enjoy. Thank you all for your support!
