Hello Flipnote Hatena! This is Aaron in Kyoto, Japan with this week's edition of Flipnote Hatena Weekly News.
The 1,300+ sushi Flipnotes from last week were excellent, and we would like to thank everyone who posted. We enjoyed seeing different ideas about sushi from people around the world. There were many great Flipnotes posted about sushi containing crazy ingredients, hot wasabi (Japanese horseradish), and ninja sushi chefs.
July is the hottest month of the year in many parts of the world. For this reason, we came up with a new topic this week that we hope will help everyone to cool off. For more details please keep on reading.

★ Foomin (id:wrbyno10) posted this Flipnote about a man who enjoys some delicious sushi. Unfortunately, the man didn't know that the sushi was so expensive (29,950 yen is about US$365!).
★ In Japan there are many inexpensive sushi restaurants called "kaiten-zushi", where plates of sushi rotate around the shop on a conveyor belt. Tomo (id:tomo0506) posted this funny Flipnote about a sushi lover.

This week's topic: "Swimming" (July 1, 2011 - July 7, 2011)
July is the hottest month of the year in many parts of the world, and many people enjoy swimming as a way to beat the heat.
This week we would like you to create Flipnotes that are about swimming. You can animate people or animals swimming, or maybe create some sea monsters. Tell stories about your trip to the beach, or swimming school. You might even want to tell stories about Mermaids and Mermen or dolphins. See where your creativity takes you!
