Greetings Flipnote Hatena users around the world! This is Aaron in Kyoto, Japan with the burning hot July 8, 2011 edition of Flipnote Hatena Weekly News.

It was great to cool down with all of the "Swimming" Flipnotes last week. Over 1,000 Flipnotes were posted about the weekly topic, and we had a great time watching all of your posts. Thanks to all of you who took part!

This week we have a special topic to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hatena. Also, for those of you who don't already know, the correct pronunciation of "Hatena" is:

"Ha" as is "hat", "Te" as in "ten", "Na" as in "nachos"

This week's topic: "? (Hatena)" (July 8, 2011 - July 14, 2011)

July 15, 2011 will be the 10th anniversary since Hatena first started business Japan. The word Hatena means "question mark" in Japanese, and that is why the company logo looks like a question mark.

To mark the 10th anniversary of Hatena, we would like you to create Flipnotes that contain question marks.

Try to make a Flipnote with 10 question marks to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hatena. Animate question marks sitting in restaurants, dancing polkas, or eating ice cream. Imagine question mark shaped invaders from other planets who come to earth to confuse everyone. Let's all use question marks in our Flipnotes this week and enjoy the 10th anniversary of Hatena together!

Please do not use copyrighted music in your Flipnotes if you want them to be featured here.
