Hello Flipnoters! This is Aaron with news for you from the Flipnote Hatena team in Kyoto, Japan.

Last week I forgot to mention the 2nd anniversary of the release of Flipnote Hatena! Flipnote Studio was released on August 12, 2009 in the Americas region, and on August 14, 2009 in the Europe and Oceania region. We would like to thank you all for your support, and we are looking forward to many more years of fun together.

If you haven't already checked out the "Make Your Own Zelda Flipnote" event by Nintendo on Flipnote Hatena please check it out. The deadline is approaching soon, so be sure to get started on your animations. For more information about the "Make Your Own Zelda Flipnote" event, please tap on the "Zelda Flipnote" button on the top menu of Flipnote Hatena for Nintendo DSi or visit Nintendo's website in your region.

We hope that you are all enjoying your summer holidays, and that it hasn't been too hot in your part of the world. Now in Kyoto there are some cool breezes in the evenings, and the end of summer is approaching.

This week we would like you to cool down a bit by making some breezy animations. For more information about the new weekly topic please keep on reading.

This week we would like you to create Flipnotes about the wind.

Think of things such as electric fans, air conditioners, summer breezes, hair dryers, pinwheels, twisters and windmills for inspiration. Create animations with stories that somehow feature the wind, wind-powered devices and things that happen on windy days.
