This is Aaron at Hatena in Kyoto, Japan with the latest news about what's happening on Flipnote Hatena.

Last week's topic about numbers was a fun one, and over 500 Flipnote were posted by animators around the world. We would like to express our thanks to everyone who took part.

Americas region users can check out some "Honorable Mention" Zelda Flipnotes that were not chosen as winners but are quite impressive. You can also see some Zelda Flipnotes made by two Japanese artists and Nintendo of America staff. Weekly Topic: Aliens

Do you believe in life on other planets? This week we would like you to make animations about aliens and space creatures.

You might want to create Flipnotes about what you think extraterrestrial life looks like. You could also make stories about aliens visiting the Earth, or humans encountering life on other planets. See where your creativity takes you!
