Hello Flipnote Hatena! This is Aaron at Hatena's office in Kyoto, Japan with this week's edition of the news.
Recently there have been some Flipnotes posted to Flipnote Hatena which have been causing problems in our online community.
We would like to remind all of our users that the following types of Flipnotes should not be posted to Flipnote Hatena:
1. If you post a spin-off of someone else's Flipnote please modify it significantly.
Don't just change the speed or change the color or write "credit to original". No one wants to watch the same Flipnotes over and over, and stealing another person's hard work is the same as stealing from a store.
2. Please do not post profanity (bad words), sexual or racist content, or make personal attacks towards other users on Flipnote Hatena.
Posting inappropriate content in your Flipnotes or comments will lead to suspension of your Hatena account.
3. Please do not post Flipnotes that contain copyrighted music or images.
Posting copyrighted content without permission is against the law and may lead to suspension of your Hatena account.
4. Flipnote Hatena is not an online dating service.
Please do not post Flipnotes for dating purposes (such as "Single's Chats", etc.), or Flipnotes for other people to rate your looks or beauty ("Boys Only" or "Girls Only"). Also, you should never post your phone number, email address or other personal information on Flipnote Hatena. Flipnote Hatena is a site for animation and creativity, and attempting to online date here is about as appropriate as ordering sushi at a pizza shop.
5. Please do not post Flipnotes that simply ask other people to "add stars".
Stars are added by other users to Flipnotes that they like. If you try to make the best animations that you can, you will be surprised that you will get stars without asking for them.
6. Please do not link your Flipnotes to channels that have nothing to do with the topic of your Flipnotes.
That is the same as posting SPAM, and is a great annoyance to others.
We appreciate you helping us to keep Flipnote Hatena a fun and safe place for everyone.
Thank you for checking out the weekly news, and we are looking forward to seeing your Flipnotes!

The best of the last week's topic: "Concert"
There were just over 490 Flipnotes posted about last week's topic, which was a lower number than usual. The turnout might have been low because many of the American users were enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday last week.
Despite the lower than usual turnout, we are happy to introduce some of our favorite Flipnotes from around the world.

This week's topic: "Keep Warm"
In many parts of the world, winter has arrived and it is cold outside. This week we would like you to create Flipnotes about how to keep warm.
Think of clothing such as coats, ear-muffs, gloves, hats, leg-warmers, scarves and snowsuits. You might also want to create animations about bonfires, drinking hot cocoa, electric heaters, hot water bottles, or snuggling up under a warm blanket.
Please submit your weekly topic Flipnotes by midnight on December 8, 2011 (Thursday) US Pacific Time, and we will feature some of our favorites on December 9, 2011 (Friday).
