Please tell us about yourself.
I am a shepherd with the rest of my family on a self-sustaining farm (trying to be.... LOL).
What are your interests or hobbies, and how do you spend your free time?
- Interests: International cuisine, herbal medicine.
- Hobbies: Spinning on my spinning wheel and making as many things as I can without buying them from somewhere (I am up to 371). I also like making black currant wine.
- Free time: FLIPNOTES!
Please introduce some of your best Flipnotes, and tell us why you like them.
It is not about how long it took or the details or the process , it is about whether you were satisfied at the end, and could you sit back and say "Yeah... that is done, nothing else to do here"!
What techniques or skills are you especially good at in your Flipnotes?
I am not that good at any skill or technique but I have an enormous amount of fun making up stories for my Flipnotes, particularly with my Hatena friends in them.
What are some techniques or skills that you wish to improve?
When I look at flips of all the artists on Hatena I realize that I have to work on patience. I whiz through my work and it could be better if I was as patient as other artists...
Please introduce us your favorite artists!
My mother told me it is wrong to have favorites so I do not. I will say that I usually only look at flips that are original, appropriate, and reflect the artist. I especially love the ones with a sense of humor, personal aspects of their daily lives and clearly show they took the time to work on it.
Is there something you would like to say to the Flipnote Hatena community?
Hatena is the perfect opportunity to let your creative light shine on the world! Be original, throw those ideas out there, do not be afraid of what others may think. You may be surprised at how receptive the art community is! Plus you do not have to buy sketch boards and pencils and you get to exchange comments with people all over the world, AWESOME!!!!!! I LOVE MAKING FLIPNOTES!!!!
