Welcome to the Hatena Featured Artist section of our blog, where we introduce Flipnote creators from around the world.

We post the Hatena Featured Artist every week on Wednesday, and hope to introduce a variety of different artists that will inspire and entertain you.

Be sure to check here every week to see some of the most amazing artists on Flipnote Hatena. Maybe we'll even feature you someday!

Today's Hatena Featured Artist is Ghost1514 (id:ghost1514) from the Americas Region.

Please tell us a little about yourself.

I am a college student and live in the Southwest of the United States. I like watching or reading anything funny, the color green, and learning interesting facts. What I dislike is the sun for making it so hot 365 days a year where I live.

What are your interests or hobbies, and how do you spend your free time?

My hobbies include making videos using stop motion animation, collecting comic books and traveling. In my free time I enjoy watching sitcoms and cartoons, playing video games and reading comic books and science fiction novels.

Please introduce some of your best Flipnotes, and tell us why you like them.

★ This is one of my favorite Flipnotes because of the humorous twist at the end.

★ I made this for "Weekly Topic: Floating" by thinking, "How could you float?"

★ This Flipnote is funny because of the revenge tactics of the mosquito. He goes for a better target, which, hopefully, gets the audience laughing.

★ In this Flipnote, I mixed the grim reaper, a kid and randomness to create comedy.

★ I made one of my favorite jokes into a Flipnote.

★ This is a self-portrait.

★ A monster might look cooler with a ton of spikes, teeth and horns, but too many makes moving a lot harder.

What techniques or skills are you especially good at in your Flipnotes?

I am good at making up unique and creative character designs, mostly monsters, because I think that takes a lot of imagination since it can be anything.

What are some techniques or skills that you wish to improve, try, or learn to do in order make your Flipnotes better?

My animation is not very good; I often use limited animation by using the same frame with a small change. This prevents me from making Flipnotes with a lot of movement or quick action.

Please introduce some of your favorite artists on Flipnote Hatena and tell us why you like them or their Flipnotes.

★ My favorite creator is Cody Woods (id:PredatorVentusX) because of his comedy, unique characters and excellent animation.

Is there something you would like to say to the Flipnote Hatena community?

I think everyone should remember that Flipnotes are not video cameras. You can draw anything you can think of, real or not, possible or impossible, amazing, or just a step towards that.
