Comments and entries with no Stars have been appearing on Hatena Star pages and Groups’ popular entries pages. We now know that this was being caused by people who were not logged in to Hatena attempting to add a Star to an entry. Although the person was not logged in, the action was being recorded in the database as an entry.
We have just corrected the procedure so that Stars added or comments made only by logged in Users would be recorded as an entry. We expect that this modification will prevent recurrence of this problem in the future.
