Flipnote Hatena Weekly News: March 19, 2010

Hello from all of us at the Hatena offices in Kyoto. This is Aaron with another issue of our weekly news blog -- thanks for taking the time to check it out.

It's been getting warmer day by day in Kyoto and we're happy that spring is finally coming. We hope that it's getting warmer in your part of the world too.

To celebrate the holiday of Easter we are having a contest on Flipnote Hatena from March 19, 2010 until April 2, 2010. If you post a Flipnote about the topic of "Easter" to channel #7, you might be the lucky winner of 10 or 50 Color Stars that you can use with your Hatena account.

For more details and for the information about how to enter the Easter contest, please check out the URL below:

This past Wednesday we posted the second edition of the Hatena Featured Artist blog, which features an interview with BOSS (id:Hate) from the Americas region. If you haven't seen the Hatena Featured Artist blog yet, please check it out at the URL below:

This is an photograph I took a few blocks away from the Hatena offices in Kyoto on a rainy day.

Frogs are considered to be lucky in Japan because the Japanese word for frog, kaeru, has the same phonetic pronunciation as the word which means "to return".

If you keep a frog in front of your house, money, friends, and other good things you see off or give away may someday return to you.

Thanks for taking the time to read our blog, and please add a star if you enjoyed it!
