Please introduce yourself.
My ID is Koaramii. I live in Aichi prefecture which is located in central Japan with my husband, five-year-old son, two-year-old daughter, one hamster and a small "medaka" fish.
My hobby is playing games and drawing, so being able to use Flipnote Studio to combine my hobbies has been a great discovery for me.
How did you learn about Flipnote Hatena?
I became interested in Flipnote Hatena after I heard about it on the Nintendo Channel for Wii.
My husband gave me a Nintendo DSi for my birthday, and I began accessing and watching Flipnote Hatena everyday. I never thought that it could be so fun to make pictures move. I was also impressed at how easy it is to make animation with Flipnote Studio.
How do get ideas for your Flipnotes?
When I first read about the Flipnote Hatena News Weekly topic, I get some inspiration. I need one percent inspiration and then I can put the rest of my effort into creating my drawings.
I sometimes draw Flipnotes about my kids, and ever since I decided to draw them I've been observing their behavior well. I realized that their words and actions were very interesting. Thanks to Flipnote Hatena, I feel my children are even more lovable.
What do you do in your free time?
Recently, I've been spending most of my free time watching and making Flipnotes. Other than that, I like to play video games which aren't really intended for children, such as "Resident Evil" and other games like that by myself. I usually have to wait for my children to go to sleep before I can play those games! I also do house work and clean up around the house.
What kind of Flipnotes do you want/like to create?
I would love to make more moving images, though it takes a long time to make them so I can't make so many. And I would love to try making Flipnotes with no dialogue, so people from all regions would be able to enjoy my Flipnotes.
He is so into it that he won't give it back!
How does Hatena choose the Hatena Featured Artist? When we choose artists to introduce here, we look for creators who have posted many high quality Flipnotes with originality and style. We are also interested in creators who use new techniques with Flipnote Studio, that can inspire and educate other creators about how to make better Flipnotes.
The Hatena Featured Artist has nothing to do with a creator's popularity or their ranking -- we actively search all regions on Flipnote Hatena to find creator's who fit the criteria above.
If you are interested in having your Flipnotes featured here you should note the following:
- We can't introduce Flipnotes that use copyrighted music or characters, so please use copyright free music and characters that you create yourself.
- This blog is currently posted in English, German and Japanese, so Flipnotes that are too dependent on dialogue or text in a certain language might not be introduced here because they are difficult for people in other countries to understand.
- We look for creator's who actively take part in the Flipnote Hatena community who can be a role model for others.
We realize that most of the users on Flipnote Hatena spend more time viewing Flipnotes or posting comments than they do posting Flipnotes. We hope that the interviews with creators here and their Flipnotes can inspire you to create more original Flipnotes yourself.
When you connect to Flipnote Hatena and think that there are no interesting Flipnotes to watch, you should consider that you can change that. Please try to post something new, original and interesting -- you can help to make the Flipnote Hatena community a better place for everyone!
