Please introduce yourself.
My name is Kim. I'm a 16-year-old French girl living near Paris, France.
How do you get ideas for your Flipnotes?
Most of my inspiration come from the manga books I read. My favorite manga artists are Seichi Kishimoto ("666 Satan" and "Blazer Drive"), Katsura Hoshino ("D.Gray-man"), Takeshi Obata ("Death Note"), of course Osamu Tezuka ("Black Jack" and "Astro Boy") and also the French manga artist Reno Lemaire ("Dreamland"). When I read a new manga book that I enjoy, I like to create Flipnotes about it. I also get new ideas by watching other users' Flipnotes.
I really love the Flipnotes by Flipnote Hatena users such as MdM (id:MdMbunny), Sara (id:Skywolf), Srta.Bambú (id:Ropacha), Piikassa (id:Piikassa) and Mary (id:Mary_Innerlight).
What do you do in your free time?
Drawing is my main hobby. When I have free time, I draw a lot of random sketches. If I sketch something that I really like, I then color, scan and upload my drawings to the web to share with others. I sometimes give drawings to my friends for their birthdays or special events.
When I don't feel like drawing, I like to read manga or fantasy stories, watch TV, play some video games, or meet my friends. Recently, I've been thinking about making an original comic blog about my life.
What kind of Flipnotes do you want to create in the future?
I would first like to finish my Flipnote series about "Blazer Drive" that I've been working on. I think I'll keep continuing with my own style for now, and search for inspiration by watching Flipnotes posted by others.
Let's talk about something unrelated to Flipnotes. As you own a Nintendo DSi, we assume that you enjoy playing games as well. Which Nintendo DSi Game have you played recently and which one is your all-time favorite?
The latest video game I bought is "Pokémon SoulSilver Version". I've loved the series since the first version. And of course, I have all of the Pokémon games. I also love playing games like "Professor Layton," "Phoenix Wright" and others. I also like rhythm games such as "Rhythm Heaven" or "Guitar Hero". At present, two of my favorite games are Pokémon and Flipnote Studio!
As you know, Hatena is based in Kyoto, Japan. Have you ever been to Japan? If you get a chance to visit Japan, what is the first thing or place you like to check out?
No, I've never been to Japan, but I really want to go! If I have the chance to visit there, I would like to see Tokyo of course, check out Tokyo Tower, and go to the Comiket comic book fair.
