Hello from all of us on the Flipnote Hatena team. This is Aaron at Hatena's offices in Kyoto, Japan with another edition of our weekly news blog.

We would like to thank those of you who posted comments on the Flipnote Hatena Weekly News comments and feedback Flipnote last week, and are always happy to hear your ideas. Next week will be the one year anniversary of the release of Flipnote Hatena in the Americas region and Europe & Oceania region, and we are looking forward to making the second year of the service even better based on your feedback.

Summer Campaign: Win limited edition Creator's Room themes

4 limited edition themes will be released during the summer campaign (each theme is available for 1 week only), and the 3rd limited edition theme has been released today.

The Flipnote team has created three new Creator's Room themes that are available in the Color Star Exchange this week. Below are some screenshots and details about the new themes.

★ We liked this strange and wonderful Flipnote by FreeSpirit (id:Control) that left us wondering what is going to happen next?

★ MIRTH (id:foops) created this cool Flipnote with three original circle, triangle and square-headed characters with a catchy, original soundtrack.

★ This Flipnote by Tankmin (id:Tankmin) features great drawing and sound effects and plays back as an endless loop.

★ Kevkev (id:K_D_L) created this Flipnote featuring circles, triangles and squares falling down and stacking on top of each other.

★ We liked this short and simple Flipnote by Razzle (id:Brazzy11) of a noisy, shape-changing object.

★ The Flipnote by ★mpa(id:markos-1996) features an object transforming into a circle, triangle and square in a three dimensional space.

The temperatures around the world have been extremely high this year, and in many parts of the world the mid-summer heat has been almost unbearable. For this week's topic we'd like you to post Flipnotes about the topic of "heat". Create any kind of Flipnote you want as long as it is about something hot! We're looking forward to seeing your Flipnotes, and will feature some of the best ones next week here in the Flipnote Hatena Weekly News. Post the Flipnotes you create to channel 7 from Flipnote Hatena on your Nintendo DSi.
