Today we are very happy to announce an special event on Flipnote Hatena.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., Nintendo has invited Nintendo DSi™ and Nintendo DSi XL™ owners in the Americas region to create and submit Flipnotes featuring characters from Super Mario Bros.

Nintendo has provided two audio samples of the original Mario-themed soundtrack for use in your Flipnote. Create a Flipnote with your original animation using one of the soundtracks and then submit it to Nintendo.
Before you post your Flipnote, please note the following important points:
- You can only post one Flipnote per Nintendo DSi for "Make Your Own Mario Flipnote".
- Once you have posted your Flipnote you cannot make any changes to your Flipnote, delete it or repost it. Please be very careful that your Flipnote is complete before you post.
- Your "Make Your Own Mario" Flipnote must be a spin-off that has been created from one of the provided entry Flipnotes.
- There are two different speed settings for the entry Flipnotes. Please select one from the two options; Speed 6 or Speed 4.
- Please make a Flipnote in a total of 240 pages when you use the Mario Flipnote A form, and make a Flipnote in a total of 60 pages when you use the Mario Flipnote B form. If your Flipnote has too few pages you will not be able to post your Flipnote.
- Use the provided entry Flipnote as it is without changing the BGM, speed or loop settings.
- You can delete the default title page in your personal Flipnote.
- Please do not edit or repost your "Make Your Own Mario Flipnote" to any other channels on Flipnote Hatena.
- You can post your "Make Your Own Mario Flipnote" anytime from October 18th, 2010 - November 19, 2010.
This special event is being held by Nintendo. Please note that your submission will be handled differently from posted Flipnotes to Flipnote Hatena which is operated by Hatena Co., Ltd.
