Hello Flipnote artists and Flipnote fans! This is Aaron at Hatena's office in Kyoto, Japan bringing you a fun selection of Flipnotes from around the world.

It's the middle of winter in most parts of the planet, and a good time to stay somewhere warm and make some Flipnotes. We hope you are all keeping warm and healthy and enjoying the winter.

There were many great Flipnotes posted last week about the topic of "Opposites" and we'd like to thank all of you who took part. You can see some of our favorite selections below.

This week we've got a "Wild" new topic that we hope will inspire you to make some new animations.

This week you have our permission to go absolutely wild in your Flipnotes. Think about topics such as wild animals, life in the wilderness, untamed nature, or whatever comes to mind when you think of the word "wild".

Please note that you will need to submit your weekly topic Flipnotes by February 3, 2011 (Thursday).


New limited edition themes: Snow Collection

We are pleased to announce the release of a new series of limited edition themes in the Color Star Exchange featuring 2 new snow themed designs. From January 28 (Friday) to Februrary 4 (Friday) you'll get a chance to win a limited edition theme every time you exchange 10 color stars for a theme.

For more information about this campaign tap on the "Get Special Themes!" button on the top menu of Flipnote Hatena for Nintendo DSi.

Please note that after the "Snow Collection" campaign ends, you will no longer have chances to win extra limited edition themes. When this campaign is over, any chances for extra themes that you have left will be changed to 1 green star per chance.


This week's new themes

The Flipnote team has created two new Creator's Room themes that are available in the Color Star Exchange this week. Below are some screenshots and details about the new themes.

★ This theme features a dancer with a graffiti decorated background. (20 color stars)
