Hello, Flipnote Hatena Weekly News readers. This is Aaron at Hatena headquarters in Kyoto, Japan with another edition of the news blog.
It was great to see all of the flower Flipnotes that were posted last week. We would like to thank all of you who took part in the weekly topic, and hope that you enjoyed seeing everyone's Flipnotes too.

"Flowers" Flipnotes from the Americas region

★ Scribbl£r™ (id:Scribbler) posted this cool Flipnote for the weekly topic about a man, a flower and a bee.
★ We liked the characters, style and movement in this interesting Flipnote by Kevin (id:K8phux)
★ This short Flipnote by Qcumber (id:Qcumber) has a nice combination of colors, animation and sounds that caught our attention.
★ Juanita (id:jalapenoflower) made this beautiful Flipnote about two young lovers and a flower.
★ This Flipnote by cosmasque (id:cosmasque) tells a sweet story about a fallen flower and a young girl.
"Flowers" Flipnotes from the Europe and Oceania region
★ A Venus Flytrap battles with a fly in this hilarious Flipnote by Carl-M (id:Carl-M).
★ GRIBOUILLE (id:GRIBOUILLE) created this cute Flipnote about a flower and a hungry turtle.
★ We enjoyed this Flipnote about Lola and her flowers by macnyaf (id:wee-spointer)
★ Mick57 (id:mickinderby) made this cool pixel art Flipnote that shows the life cycle of flowers.
★ The love between two flowers is interrupted by a sheep in this Flipnote by geezer (id:geezerdk)
★ Flower petals blow through the air in this relaxing Flipnote by Namie (id:Namie-ya).
"Flowers" Flipnotes from Japan
★ Flower is pronounced as "hana" in Japanese, which also is the same pronunciation as the Japanese word for "nose". Koaramii (id:koaramii) posted this funny Flipnote featuring both a flower and a nose.
★ A flower gets rid of an insect in this cool and strange Flipnote by Naybee (id:aki3122).
★ A little girl bounces around on top of some flowers in this neat Flipnote by Junjun (id:junkun123).
★ This Flipnote by Foomin (id:wrbyno10) has some amazing illustrations of flowers. The text at the end reads "I like the flowers you give me more than any other".
★ An elephant and a young girl enjoy picking some flowers in this heartwarming Flipnote by Asurapan (id:kaz872a).
★ Flowers bloom in unusual places in this excellent Flipnote by Izumi (id:izumi-v).
This week's topic: "Eggs" (Apr. 22, 2011 - Apr. 28, 2011)
To celebrate the holiday of Easter we would like you to create Flipnotes about eggs. Create stories about Easter egg hunts, decorating eggs or chocolate eggs. You can also animate eggs as scrambled, sunny-side up, over-easy or poached. We are looking forward to seeing your egg-tastic creations!
Post the Flipnotes you create to the channel below from Flipnote Hatena on your Nintendo DSi.

This week's new themes
The Flipnote team has created two new Creator's Room themes that are available in the Color Star Exchange this week. Below are some screenshots and details about the new themes.
★ This theme features a pretty fairy surrounded by shiny cosmetics. (10 color stars)
★ This monochrome theme features a cool rock musician. (20 color stars)
