Please tell us about yourself.
Hello everyone! My name is Marupy, and I love making Flipnotes. I started using Flipnote Hatena almost 2 years ago, but I had to stop using it for a while because I became really busy.
I missed using Flipnote Hatena, so now I try to come back whenever I have the time. I am very glad to have discovered so many great artists on Flipnote Hatena.
What are your interests or hobbies, and how do you spend your free time?
Other than making Flipnotes, I love singing. I used to dream about becoming a singer when I was little.
Now I like to sing with my 4 cute parakeets at home. I also enjoy watching and playing with my parakeets. Two of them were born in my house, and it is amazing to watch them grow.
Please introduce some of your best Flipnotes
★ "Under the Water" -This Flipnote took me a long time to make. I tried to use different lighting in the shallow water and the deep water. I also wanted to make something unusual, so I added a balloon that wouldn't usually exist underwater.
★ "Boing, Boing!"
★ "Clockwork Parakeet" - I was inspired to make this Flipnote by my four parakeets. When they were still babies they moved around like clockwork, just like in this Flipnote.
★ "Sea Animals - Part 2"
★ "Caught in the Rain After School" - This is a cute Flipnote that reminded me of when I was in 5th grade. I like the shy boy who is blushing.
★ "My Life With Four Parakeets"
Where do you get the ideas for your Flipnotes?
I get most of my ideas from daily life. I live on an island named Hokkaido, which is located in the North of Japan. Hokkaido is famous for its greenery and rich nature, and delicious food. I am lucky to have so many inspiring things around me.
Do you have any advice or tips on making Flipnotes that you would like to share with us?
Well, I don't think I'm that good at drawing nor animating. The one thing I do is that I draw things that I like and I want to draw, and have fun while doing it. Of course, "practice makes perfect", but I think it is more important to have fun while you are making something.
Is there something you would like to say to the Flipnote Hatena community?
