Please tell us about yourself
Hello, I am Uretsu. I think that most of you do not know me. I will skip explaining my name because it would take too long. I am a boy in the last year of elementary school. I started using Flipnote Hatena about one year ago. Many of my animations are a bit spooky.
What are your interests or hobbies, and how do you spend your free time?
I know that it is bad for your eyes and that you better not do it too much, but I like to play video games and read manga. There are some video games that I have played for over 800 hours. As a result, my eyesight is getting bad. When I have a day off I hardly go outside, and usually play games and read manga.
Please introduce some of your best Flipnotes, and tell us why you like them.
★ "Visitor from a parallel world" - I wanted to make something very creepy come out of a wall. I think I have been influenced by some other Flipnotes with similar themes. It took me a lot of time and patience, but after all the effort, I was satisfied with how it turned out.
★ "Cretaceous Scene" - This was a Flipnote I posted for the Weekly Topic "Ancient Times". I was surprised when it was featured in the news. I think I was able to express the power of the dinosaur well in this Flipnote.
★ "Is this a dream, or is it real?" - This is another spooky Flipnote. I wanted to make something spooky and scary so I used a lot of gray and a black to give the animation a dark feeling. Does it scare you?

★ Watch this exciting story of a boy that buys an umbrella from an alien and travels through space. In the end the alien brings him back to earth with his flying saucer.
★ We liked the combination of different styles in this Flipnote. It was just like watching a nature film.
★ At the end of this funny Flipnote the character says: "To be continued?"
What techniques or skills are you especially good at in your Flipnotes?
I am good at short animations. I can combine all kinds of interesting or scary things into one short animation. Even though I am not making good stuff all the time, I usually can make something I feel satisfied with, and that makes me happy.
What are some techniques or skills that you wish to improve?
Making long animations is difficult for me. I have tried many times to create a long battle scene, but I always gave up on it halfway. It would be nice if I could draw something long some day.
Is there something you would like to say to the Flipnote Hatena community?
In my opinion Flipnote Hatena is not just about being popular, it is something to enjoy. Of course there are many users who want to become popular and receive many stars. I have the same wishes too, but I believe there is more to making Flipnotes than just that.
