After a review of the way channel management is rewarded on Flipnote Hatena, we have made some changes to when channel creators receive color stars. These changes are as follows:
Award conditions before the change on Flipnote Hatena for Nintendo DSi:
- Award type:
- Number of Flipnotes posted to one of your channels
- Color stars awarded:
- 100 Flipnotes: 1 Green Star
- 200 Flipnotes: 2 Green Stars
- 500 Flipnotes: 3 Green Stars
- 1,000 Flipnotes: 4 Green Stars
- 2,000 Flipnotes: 5 Green Stars
New award conditions after the change on Flipnote Hatena for Nintendo DSi:
- Award type:
- Number of users who have added one of your channels as a favorite
- Color stars awarded:
- 100 Users: 1 Green Star
- 200 Users: 2 Green Stars
- 500 Users: 3 Green Stars
- 1,000 Users: 4 Green Stars
- 2,000 Users: 5 Green Stars
Color stars will continue to be distributed for each channel that reaches the levels of the new award conditions.
If a channel creator has already been awarded green stars for reaching one of the levels before this change, the next color star award will be distributed when the next level of the conditions are met after the change. For example, a channel creator who has been awarded 4 green stars for a channel they created which has had 1,000 Flipnotes posted to it will be eligible for the next award level of 5 green stars when 2,000 users have added that channel to their favorites list.
In addition, there may be cases when channel creators did not receive color stars for a channel they created which did not reach the previous award levels, but has already exceeded one of the new award levels. In such cases creators of these channels will be awarded color stars after 1 more user adds the channel to their favorites list. For example, if a channel has had 1,500 Flipnotes posted to it and 5,000 users have added it to their favorites list, 5 color stars will be awarded when the 5,001st user adds that channel to their favorites list.
