Welcome to the Hatena Featured Artist section of our blog, where we introduce Flipnote creators from around the world.
We post the Hatena Featured Artist every week on Wednesday, and hope to introduce a variety of different artists that will inspire and entertain you.
Be sure to check here every week to see some of the most amazing artists on Flipnote Hatena. Maybe we'll even feature you someday!
Today's Hatena Featured Artist is StickyNote (id:sticky-note) from the Americas region.
Please tell us a little about yourself.
Hello! My name is StickyNote. I'm 16 years old and I attend high school in California. I am the youngest child in a family of five and I enjoy learning new things. The reason why why name is StickyNote is because my brother and I made these goofy yet random flipbooks where a stick figure walks across the page or maybe fights against another stick figure.
What are your interests or hobbies, and how do you spend your free time?
My main interest is art. I love to draw, make random crafts, and spend my free time with my friends and family.
Please introduce some of your best Flipnotes, and tell us why you like them.
★ This was one of the first Flipnotes I made when I first joined Hatena. I was playing with Nintendo DSi sound and I wanted my sister to say something. This was the outcome.
★ This was for Weekly Topic: Eyes. It was my first time posting for the weekly topic as well as creating my own sound effects. I had so much fun creating this one.
★ I was testing how well I could make fluid animation, and this idea sprang up.
★ I know during the Halloween season people love to have a little scare in their life. However, it is not as fun when you don't know who scared you.
★ This is 'a bit about me' Flipnote. Sometimes I eat or drink things that are completely opposite of what you would expect.
What techniques or skills are you especially good at in your Flipnotes?
I find my animating skills pretty average, but I try my best to create fluid animations when a character moves or transitions.
What are some techniques or skills that you wish to improve, try, or learn to do in order make your Flipnotes better?
I want to create more dynamics or perspective in my Flipnotes. I also hope to try different art styles and animation techniques to be able to create the perspective I want. One thing I really want to try is to collaborate with someone else, however I find it easy to lose motivation whenever I try to animate.

Is there something you would like to say to the Flipnote Hatena community?
Although I've only been on Hatena for about a year, I've met so many interesting people and learned new techniques about art and animation. There were so many new experiences I could have never had anywhere else but here on Hatena. I thank everyone who has supported me since I began.
