Starting today, you can now receive information from Hatena directly to your Nintendo DSi. You can access your mailbox by tapping on the Mail icon from the top page of Flipnote Hatena.
After tapping on the Mail icon, tap on the envelope icon in your mailbox to choose what types of messages you would like to receive.
There are currently 2 types of messages that you can choose to receive from Flipnote Hatena, which are as follows:
Service related announcements
- These types of messages contain information about system maintenance and problems.
- These messages will let you know when Flipnotes or comments posted from your account have been removed from the service.
- Messages will also be sent to you about when you have reached Flipnote Citizen status.
Newsletter and activity reports
These types of messages will let you know about recent activity on your Flipnotes, which is sent to you as a message titled Flipnote Activity Report. The report contains various types of information including the following:
- Information about when someone has commented on one of your Flipnotes.
- Information about when a spin-off has been made from one of your Flipnotes.
- Information about when someone has added you to their Favorites.
You can change your notice-reception settings at any time by either of the following 2 methods:
Method 1
1) Tap on the Mail icon from the top page of Flipnote Hatena, and then tap on the letter icon labeled Notice-Reception Settings (The message will always be the last letter listed in your mailbox)
Method 2
1) Tap on Creator's Room from the top page of Flipnote Hatena on the Nintendo DSi.
2) Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap on Change listed under the heading Notice-reception Settings
Please note that you cannot send messages to other users with the Mail function, and it is only for receiving information from Hatena.
