Hello, from all of us at Hatena. This is Aaron with another edition of the Flipnote Hatena weekly news blog.
Two years ago today Flipnote Hatena was launched in Japan, and we are happy to have grown so much thanks to all of you! We look forward to many more anniversaries to come, and appreciate all of your continued support and enjoyment of Flipnote Hatena.
Today, we are pleased to present some great holiday themed Flipnotes posted by users all around the world that we hope you will enjoy. Also, we are happy to announce the "Flipnote Monster" winners for users in the Europe and Oceania region, and some more excellent "Make Your Own Mario" Flipnotes for users in the Americas region. This will be the last edition of the Flipnote Hatena Weekly News blog for 2010, and we will post the next edition on January 7, 2011. Please also note that the Hatena Featured Artist will start again on January 5, 2011.
We'd like to thank all of you who posted Flipnotes about the weekly topic and frog sightings in 2010, and of course to all of our readers. We are looking forward to another great year together with all of you in 2011!

Flipnote Monsters Competition winners chosen!
We asked you to post a monster to Flipnote Hatena that you thought could best our champion "Bad Egg" (created by renowned illustrator Andrew Rae) in a straight-out brawl!
The four best entries have been personally chosen and animated by Andrew in a series of knockout battles - with the final winning monster facing off against Bad Egg himself!
Flipnote Hatena users in the Europe and Oceania region can view both the original Flipnotes drawn by the winners and the final animations on Flipnote Hatena for Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL, on the Nintendo Channel.

Featured Flipnotes from the "Make Your Own Mario Flipnote" special event for users in the Americas region
Check out some of the creative flipnotes from Nintendo Staff members as well as the illustrator, Ashura Benimaru Itoh, known for his work on the comic adaptations of Star Fox™ and Super Metroid™ serialized in Nintendo Power magazine.
You can see some of the favorite Flipnotes created with comments from Super Mario Bros. creators (Shigeru Miyamoto, Takashi Tezuka, and Yoshiaki Koizumi) by tapping on the "Make a Mario Flipnote" button on the top menu of Flipnote Hatena for Nintendo DSi. The Flipnote team has created three new Creator's Room themes that are available in the Color Star Exchange this week. Below are some screenshots and details about the new themes.

★ Decorate your Creator's Room with some falling snowflakes over a gradient black background. (5 color stars)
★ Add a cute floral design with a strawberry ribbon to brighten up your Creator's Room. The top screen display and the background on the lower screen will change when you use this theme. (20 color stars)
