Welcome to the Hatena Featured Artist section of our blog, where we introduce Flipnote creators from around the world.

We post the Hatena Featured Artist every week on Wednesday, and hope to introduce a variety of different artists that will inspire and entertain you.

Be sure to check here every week to see some of the most amazing artists on Flipnote Hatena. Maybe we'll even feature you someday!

Today's Hatena Featured Artist is Noichigo (id:queenbee0121) from Japan.

Please tell us a little about yourself.

Hello Flipnote Hatena! I call myself "Noichigo" and I am a high school student. My motto about life is to go one step at a time, try anything and everything, and to experience all of the colors of the rainbow of life.

What are your interests or hobbies, and how do you spend your free time?

I like to ride my bicycle on country roads and enjoy the scenery. I enjoy the warm smell of breakfast coming from peoples' homes, the flowering cherry blossom trees, the stray cats who wait for me to pass by, and the cool morning air. Riding on these roads is part of my daily routine. I try to enjoy my days off from school as much as I can, and always make many plans.

Please introduce some of your best Flipnotes, and tell us why you like them.

★ "Thank you!!" - This is my favorite Flipnote. It is about showing the feeling of thanks with your hands (Editors note: the writing reads "Arigatou" which means "Thank you" in Japanese).

★ "Perspective Star" - This is a sequence of actions about looking at a star.

★ "Birds and Buildings" - Despite the title of this animation being about birds and buildings, no birds appear at all.

★ "Eye" - This animation is simply about closing your eyes.

★ "One Wink" - I created this one day to pass the time. It is about a man who disappears in the blink of an eye.

What techniques or skills are you especially good at in your Flipnotes?

I am good at drawing things with flowing, continuous lines. I am still learning about how to express myself with my drawings, and working to improve my art skills. I am going to to put more effort to try to make others understand exactly what I am trying to say in my art.

What are some techniques or skills that you wish to improve, try, or learn to do in order make your Flipnotes better?

I have a hard time thinking of titles for my animations, and have never been able to give names to the characters I draw. However, I like the vagueness of having characters with no names, and don't plan to use names in the future.

Please introduce some of your favorite artists on Flipnote Hatena, and tell us why you like them or their Flipnotes.

Tako Death (id:rabbit_thankyou) - The stories by this creator are always interesting and sometimes bring tears to my eyes. The illustrations are so warm.

Tankuroi (id:A722D0CC774C06) - I like the unique way this creator uses lines and shadows. The overall presentation is so cool.

Kishou (id:fish123) - This animator's drawing style and use of original sounds create a rich viewing experience.

Rib Destroyer (id:ribdestroyer) - I am attracted to the strange black and white world in the Flipnotes by this creator.

Is there something you would like to say to the Flipnote Hatena community?

I have had so many new experiences since I started making Flipnotes. All of these experiences are precious to me, and I would like thank everyone in the Flipnote Hatena community.
